아시아 매미 나방 대응 방법(Asian Gypsy Moth)

아시아 매미나방 일명 줄여서 AGM이라고 한다.(Asian Gypsy Moth의 약자)

 

미국, 캐나다, 칠레, 호주, 뉴질랜드 등지에서 극동 아시아(러시아,중국,한국,일본) 항구에

기항했던 선박으로부터 외래종 유입을 막기위하여 시행되고 있는 제도이다.

 

따라서, 러시아, 중국, 한국, 일본을 출항하여 미국, 캐나다, 칠레, 뉴질랜드, 호주로 기항하는 선박들은

AGM 무감염 증명서가 본선에 있고 또한 제출할 수 있어야 하며, 입항 전 본선 자체적으로 AGM 검사 및 제거해야 한다.

해당 증서가 없다면 입항거부 및 입항이 제한 될 수 있다.

 

- 검사 대상 : 규제지역(극동아시아) AGM 고위험 기간에 입항하는 선박

- 고위험기간 : 보통 6/1 ~ 9/30

- 본선 조치 사항 : 고위험기간에 규제지역 입항할 경우 LAST PORT 출항 전 AGM 검사를 요청하여

   AGM 무감염 증명서를 발급 받아야 한다.

  또한 미국, 캐나다, 칠레, 호주, 뉴질랜드 입항 전 본선 자체적으로 AGM 검사 수행

 

본선 아시아 매미 나방 수색 요령

 

1. 자율점검 요령

선박의 상부구조물과 레일부분, 파이프 아래 부분, 광원주변을 철저히 검색하는 것이 중요하며,

알 덩어리 발견시 비닐 백에 수거한 후 소각 처리해야 함.

Inspect all accessible areas of the ship's super-structure. Use binoculars to inspect unreachable

areas of the ship. Inspect the ship’s hold(s) when there are indications (physical evidence on the

superstructure or ship records) that the ship has been cleaned for AGM. Egg masses are the most

likely life stage to be found on the superstructure of ships.

 

2. 알 덩어리 검색 요령

가. 알 덩어리는 주로 천막내부, 문, 벽의 틈새 공간과 같이 숨겨진 장소에서 발견된다.

나. 접근하기 어려운 장소는 망원경이나 막대거울, 손전등을 사용하여 검색한다.

다. 아시아매미나방은 불빛에 유인되므로 광원주변을 철저하게 검사해야 한다.

The following points will help you detect gypsy moths:

◆ Egg masses normally are deposited in sheltered locations such as in crevices or cavities, under

tarps, behind walls and doors, and underneath the hold rims

◆ Binoculars may allow you to see unreachable areas of the ship

◆ Female AGMs are attracted to light; therefore, the female moths could lay their egg masses on

surfaces of the ship that are exposed to night lights. However, if the ship was lit with shore-based

flood lights while in a Far East Russian port, egg masses could be found in all locations

◆ Viable egg masses on ships may be weathered, darkened, and appear old

◆ Look for evidence of fresh paint covering scrapes on walls or painted over egg masses

◆ Look for hatching larvae that may be blowing on silk strands from the ship. Peak hatching of eggs

is in the morning. Dispersing larvae move toward vertical structures and climb rapidly

마. 비닐 백 Plastic Bag

 

* 상기 장기가 없는 선박은 청구하여 본선에 비치해야 한다.
